Have you seen this viral video going around? The one about gender stereotypes and how men should be the ones to take care of the kids, house, and bring home the bacon, while their wives sit around and admire them.
I understand the point of the video, in that men can work just as hard as women in what we might call a “traditionally female role”. But that shouldn’t mean women should stop working. It takes all members of a family working together to keep a household running. And really, didn’t the male gender role stereotype satirically depicted in this video disappear like … 30 years ago?
