Freebie Friday: {PicMonkey} = Photo Editing Awesomeness

Join me each Friday as I review a new online freebie each week!

I work with graphics quite a bit.  Not designing them necessarily, but editing them.  Whether it's photos for this blog, images for business cards, or graphics for a website, there is a lot of editing going on!  I've been using a few different programs for this sort of thing (Picasa and Gimp, and yes, Word), but I've just recently discovered an easier, faster way to edit images.  And guess what?  It's free!

Visit PicMonkey.com and take a look around.  You can upload a photo or other image and do all sorts of cool things with it.  From filters to effects to frames to text to embellishments -- it's all there.  The best thing about it is that it lets you resize images very easily.  And of course, for my little tiny computer, there's no problem with speed.  It's all online, so as long as you have a good internet connection, it's perfect!

Now of course, like any other online freebie, there are paid options (the Royale Membership).  But I've found that the free options are pretty extensive and for now, are all I need.

So if you're like me and do a lot of image editing, or even if you just want a fancy new cover photo for your Facebook page (they've got a collage perfectly sized for that!), check out PicMonkey!
