Accepting Payments the Foolproof Way (Square Card Reader With FREE Processing)

squareHave you heard of Square?

In a nutshell, it’s a way to accept credit card payments with your phone or tablet, without paying monthly fees or any other costs except when you actually accept a payment.

It’s a great payment solution for people who sell their own goods or services (crafts, dog walkers, direct sales, etc), or for people who need to accept payment on site, wherever they are (contractors, trade shows, churches, etc).  You can even use it for accepting payment from friends, at yard sales and bake sales, and for things like babysitting.

Can you imagine the possibilities for your home daycare?  No more excuses like “I forgot to hit the bank machine on the way home” or “I ran out of cheques”.   With Square, you can swipe their credit card, and get payment deposited into your bank account within a few days!

So here’s how it works:  Go online to SquareUp.com  (referral link) and set up your account.  You’ll need to provide your banking information and they’ll verify it by making a couple of small deposits.  You request a card reader by mail, and they send it out to you (7-10 days), and you download the free Square Register app for Android or iOS, and you’re good to go.

Now you can accept payment wherever and whenever you like.  Square even accepts offline payments, but it’s always better for your own peace of mind to have a wireless or wifi connection.

The cost is 2.75% per card swipe.  It’s a little bit more if you need to type in the card number manually.  But you only pay when you actually process a credit card payment.  You can also use the Square Register app to accept cash, cheque or gift card payments for no cost at all!

In the videos below, you’ll get a better idea of what the card reader itself looks like and how it works.

And hey, if you sign up for Square using this link:  https://squareup.com/i/778FA5AC , both you and I will receive free processing up to $1000.  So it really is free to try out!
