Grayl Water Purifier Unboxing and First Look

I took the plunge (pardon the pun) and got ahold of a Grayl Ultralight Water Purifier for my trip up north next month.  The area I’m going to has been under a Boil Water Advisory for several years, and last year, I made the mistake of consuming some of the contaminated water.  Even untreated water that is used to brush your teeth or wash dishes can cause problems.  While we were boiling water for most uses (or using bottled water), I wanted to make sure that all my bases are covered this year.

The Grayl UL Water Purifier removes the bacteria, viruses and protozoa that can cause sickness in water.  Remember Beaver Fever?  No need to worry about that anymore.  The Grayl can purify any freshwater source (I even watched a video where they purified Coca-Cola into plain water!).

This is an unboxing and first look at what’s included.  I hope to post a follow-up video in the near future about it’s ease of use, and whether it does what it says it does.  Keep an eye out for that!
