Video: How To Get Your Grocery Shopping Done ... In One Hour!

Over the years, I’ve honed my grocery shopping skills into an art.  Okay, may “art” is overdoing it, but the truth is, I can be in and out of the store in one hour with enough groceries (minus milk top-ups) for two weeks, for our family of five.

Today, I thought I’d let you in on my secret.  Take a look at this video:

It all comes down to a few things:

  1. Have a list (whether written or mental) of what you need.  Categorize the groceries in your list so that the dairy is grouped, the fruits & veggies are grouped, the meat is grouped, and so on.

and

       2. Shop the outside of the store first, and then go up and down each aisle in order.  This way you’ll be much less likely to miss something and have to spend extra time going back to get it.

That’s it!  By shopping this way, I’ve been able to get my groceries for the next two weeks done, without having to retrace my steps or forgetting anything.

What are your tips for getting the groceries done as quickly (and painlessly) as possible?
